This ingredient is used to increase the free testosterone levels of the body. The vast majority of circulating testosterone is bound by Androgen Binding Protein as well as Sex Hormone Binding Globulin. Androgen Binding Protein is a glycoprotein produced in the testes that deactivates Testosterone similar to Sex Hormone Binding Globulin. 3,4-Divanillyltetrahydrofuran acts as an ABP/SHBG modulator because it directly competes with the circulating testosterone. This means more testosterone is unbound while your SHBG and ABP are deactivated with the compound.
