Probiotics

Believe it or not, the human body requires bacteria in order to function at its best. Now, not just any bacteria will do. What we need are healthy bacteria that live inside our digestive system to help digest and break down nutrients for use by the body. These healthy bacteria are known as probiotics.

There are several different types of probiotics including;

• Lactobacillus (Which has more than 50 different species including acidophilus)
• Bifidobacteria
• Enterococcus faecium

Probiotics are necessary for two main reasons. The first is the vital role they play in the digestive tract.

The second is their impact on our immune system. Probiotics need to be kept in balance in order for our immune system to function properly. If there is an imbalance, that can lead to problems like allergic reaction, autoimmune disorders and infections.

These are reasons why it's so critical to maintain the proper balance of healthy bacteria in the body.
