Goldenseal

Goldenseal is an herb that grows in the United States and has traditionally been used for its health-boosting benefits.

Historically, the Native Americans used goldenseal to combat skin diseases, ulcers and even gonorrhea. These days the uses have changed quite a bit for goldenseal, as now it is used to treat colds and flu, conditions of the respiratory system, infectious diarrhea, eye infections, and vaginitis.

There is no recommended daily dosage for goldenseal, but you will often find this herb accompanying echinacea as a two-fold attack to boost immune system function and for fighting off colds and flu.
